On December 5, 2005, Darra Adam Khel Press Club President, Nasir Afridi, was killed in a cross fire between two tribes — Bazi Khel and Mala Khel — in Darra Adam Khel, Dawn reported. Afridi also worked for an Urdu daily. According to the report, Afridi was coming to the press club when a stray bullet hit him. He died on the spot. Another man, a truck driver, who was hit in the cross fire between the warring tribes, also died.
