Summary of Case
On May 29, 2006, a cameraman for Sindhi-language KTN news channel, Munir Ahmed Sangi, was shot while covering a gunfight between members of two tribes — the Unnar and Abro — in Larkana district of Sindh province. According to Daily Times, when Sangi arrived to cover the clash, the Unnar tribesmen opened fire on him and he died on the spot. Deputy Inspector General of Police Larkana Range Akhter Hussain Gorchani said over 29 suspects had been arrested in this case.

According to Dawn, the main accused in Sangi's murder, Mullan Madad alias Madoo Unnar, was arrested in June 2006 from Punjab province. Sangi's brother says the case has concluded as Sangi's widow decided to pardon the killers. One of the killers, Altaf Unnar, died of a heart attack.
