Summary of Case
On April 28, 2007, Mehboob Khan, who worked as a freelance photographer, was killed in a suicide blast targeting then Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao in Charsadda, IFEX and RSF reported. According to the report, Khan died instantly. At least 27 others were also killed in the bombing, whereas Sherpao survived. Following the blast, the chief minister of the province announced Rs100,000 as compensation for each of the deceased and Rs50,000 as reparations for each injured in the explosion.
