Incident Description: Suicide attack

On April 16, 2010, Samaa TV cameraman, Malik Arif, was killed in a suicide blast outside the emergency ward of Quetta's Sandemna Civil Hospital, in what was suspected to be a sectarian attack. According to Dawn, the bomber struck outside the emergency ward where people had gathered when the body of a banker who had been shot dead minutes earlier was brought in.

Reports in the Express Tribunesaid 12 people died in the attack and 47, including five reporters, were injured. Lashkar-i-Jhangvi claimed responsibility for the attack.

According to police, there was no development in the case. No one was arrested and there have been no court proceedings yet.
